Air Meter
Beer air meter measuring dissolved gas 0–30 ml in bottled or canned beer — ASBC-method design with anti-alkaline valve for accurate CO2-free air readings.
Applications
The CanNeed-IAM-30 Air Meter is a precision instrument designed for accurate air content analysis in carbonated beverages, adhering to ASBC and GB/T standards. When used with the CanNeed-CAN-7001 CO2 Tester, it provides comprehensive testing of both CO2 and air content. It is engineered to meet the requirements of the American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC) and complies with “GB/T 4928 – 2001 Brewing Analysis Methods” and “GB/T 10792 – 1995 Carbonated Beverage Analysis Methods,” making it an essential tool for Quality and Technical Supervision Bureaus and beverage production facilities.
Measuring principle:
After piercing the bottles or cans with the CO2 Tester, the gas in the bottled or canned beer enters the IAM-30. As the gas contacts the alkaline liquid, the CO2 is absorbed. The remaining gas (typically N2 and O2) concentrates at the top of the measuring tube, where the volume is read directly from the graduation scale.
Advantages
1. The measuring tube rotates freely on a central pivot, ensuring the alkaline liquid fully absorbs CO2 without requiring the rotation of the entire supporting frame.2. A reflux liquid ball at the top of the tube prevents alkaline liquid overflow.
3. Valve cores utilize PTFE (Teflon) materials for superior resistance to alkaline corrosion.
4. The leveling bottle is secured by a 3-column support system to prevent accidental rollover.
