Applications

The CanNeed-CBBT-100 Burst and Buckle Tester is an essential piece of quality control equipment designed to determine the buckle and burst pressure of 2-piece cans in food and beverage packaging lines.

The empty finished can is placed in the holder, secured by a protective shield, and sealed with a robust rubber o-ring structure. The system applies a rapid initial pressure increase up to 5 bar—programmable to just below the expected buckle value—followed by a user-defined, controlled pressure ramp. The device automatically captures and displays both the buckle and burst pressure values. Interchangeable inserts allow for rapid testing of various can diameters and heights. The included CND-CBBT-1.0 analysis software enables real-time measurement curve visualization and database storage for comprehensive reporting.
