The CanNeed-CTG-310 Coating Thickness Gauge is designed for the food and beverage packaging industry to test coating thickness (coating weight per unit area, g/m2). When equipped with the “Hover Probe,” it measures the coating thickness of plate sheets; when equipped with the can body testing clamp, it tests the coating thickness of the can body.
Using a standard coating plate (sample with known weight, g/m2) for calibration, the unit tests various coating types. Test results and coating type numbers are displayed on the screen, with data output to a PC via RS232.
Reduced lacquer consumption – With its exact calibration system, film weight data is precise, leading to improved control and lower film weight targets.
Greater product quality – Accurate readings ensure that coating or spray equipment is maintained to required specifications, improving product confidence.
Better operating efficiencies – The Gauge features microprocessor control, digital readouts, and data output to printers and computers, enabling rapid operation and quicker machine setups.
Lower spoilage – Quick operation and production-line portability enable increased test frequencies, allowing problems and trends to be spotted earlier to reduce waste.
