The CanNeed-CAT-10 Cobb Absorption Tester is a precision instrument designed to evaluate the water absorption rate of paper and cardboard. It is ideal for quality control in packaging manufacturing and paper production, ensuring materials meet specific sizing requirements. This tester adheres to the GB/T 1540-2002 standard for the Cobb method. Note: It is not suitable for embossed paper or basis paper with a weight less than 50g/m² or high pinhole density.
Test process:
Cut a 100cm² sample using the Cobb sampler and place it into the Cobb Absorption Tester. After the specified test duration, remove surface moisture with absorbent paper. The water absorption rate is determined by comparing the sample weight before and after the test.
