The CanNeed-VAT-500 Digital Perpendicularity Tester is a precision instrument designed for measuring perpendicularity deviation and circular run-out in glass bottles, essential for quality control in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
Perpendicularity deviation is measured by securing the bottle base to the horizontal plate and rotating it 360° to capture the maximum and minimum dial gauge readings; the deviation is calculated as half the difference between these values.
Circular run-out is determined by fixing the specimen in the chuck and measuring the maximum variation in outside diameter over a full 360° rotation.
The automated test process allows for rapid clamping and rotation, providing direct, high-accuracy readings of both vertical axis deviation and circular run-out.
