Applications

The CanNeed PTT-400 Pop & Tear Tester is a precision instrument designed for quality control in the food & beverage packaging industry. It accurately measures pop and tear force, ring rotary force, and ring detaching force for various easy-open ends.

The device features 7 testing modes (RP, SOT, EO, OVAL, SNAP, RF, and RPP) and is compatible with round ends ranging from 113 to 603. Customized clamps are available for oval or rectangular ends up to 163 mm. Operators simply hook the ring and press “test” to initiate the automated microprocessor-controlled sequence.
