Applications
The CanNeed-SCT-1000 Stress Cracking Tester is a high-precision instrument designed to evaluate the stress crack resistance of blow-molded PET bottles. This tester simulates production line conditions, specifically the impact of lye lubrication on the base of PET containers.
By utilizing constant pressure testing with compressed air, the instrument maintains stable internal pressure while immersing the bottle base in lye to monitor for structural failure. The system features 6 independent test stations with automated water and lye injection, real-time pressure monitoring, and automated rupture detection, ensuring consistent and reliable results for quality control in the beverage packaging industry.
