Applications

The Seam-X®-On-line X-Ray Automatic Seam Scanner provides non-destructive, high-speed measurement of double seam quality for aluminum, steel, and composite cans. Designed for integration directly into food and beverage production lines, this automated system improves sampling frequency, reduces waste, and eliminates the need for destructive cutting methods.

Measure Items: Seam Length, Body Hook, End Hook, Overlap, %Overlap, Seam Gap, %Body Hook Butting, and %End Hook Butting. Compatible with Aluminum/Aluminum and Tin/Tin can combinations. The Seam-X®-On-Line can be integrated with seam thickness and countersink gauges to form a complete measurement system, with optional identification sampling to track results back to specific seamer heads.
